I asked the mirror for answers. It asked me who I was.

Some things only hold their shape in pieces — broken apart, yet once whole. On the back, Shard of Self: a woman mid-turn, colour leaving her like a memory finding its edges. On the chest, the question the mirror hands back to you.

The zip runs the fault line between them. Open, and the whole self is behind you. Made for those who stopped waiting on the mirror for permission.

A This is Me piece. Worn facing away. Seen by everyone but you.

origins

The Art

The Strength in Turning Away

Shard of Self began with a single image: a woman caught mid-turn, looking back as colour breaks from her like watercolour into water. She is not posing for the mirror. She has already turned from it.

On a zip hoodie, the placement earns its keep twice. The back carries the full reflection — the version of you that lives in other people's eyes, worn where you can't keep watch on it. The chest carries only the question. Between them runs the zip: the crack in the glass, the line a shard breaks along.

A single shard still holds the whole reflection. Broken from the mirror, it loses nothing. That's the idea, carried front and back, on a garment built to be opened.

The Meaning

Unique, and Still Whole

Each shard of a shattered mirror holds the entire reflection. You don't have to be everything to be complete. One true piece is enough.

The Question, Not the Answer

The mirror doesn't tell you who you are. It asks. Worn on the chest, that question stays with you — the one worth carrying longer than any answer.

A Mark of Recognition

Not everyone will notice. But those who've stopped performing wholeness — who've made peace with being a fragment rather than the whole glass — will know exactly what they're looking at.

From the mirror's edge to the moment you turn away whole — this piece is for staying true to yourself, while honouring the difference in others.

From the first whisper of change to the moment the forest breathes your name—this piece traces the beautiful, irreversible journey of becoming.
